This time one of our models, KAYA 3, was utilised to perfection, as our interviewees customised the structure to their liking. Meet the couple from Germany – Mr. Hausser and his wife. Having passed on their previous place of residence to their children, they now enjoy the cosy new log cabin from Quick-garden.co.uk. The decision-making was mostly done by Mr. Hausser, as he’s a master carpenter himself. Let’s see what came of it!
How KAYA 3 and our helpful expert made the choice easy
The search via the internet went by quite smoothly since the couple found Quick-garden.co.uk and the right model relatively quickly. Of course, it had to be compared to the other offers out there. However, they did not meet the couple’s criteria. Mr. Hausser and his wife wanted a home that they could build themselves, and one that would have a chic look. To sum up,
Thus, a crucial aspect that created such a positive experience was the competent expert, Justina, who guided the couple throughout their journey. Must be a relief to always have someone in your corner!
Extra features that elevated the contemporary look
Every order can be instantly customised by adding some extras to the cart, and that’s exactly what the owners did when placing the order for KAYA 3. This sleek structure got the addition of anthracite PVC windows with electric shutters, a self-adhesive bitumen sheet for the roof, and the steel gutter system Ruukki. While both practical and durable, these enhancements weren’t the end of the personalisation.
Another notable aspect was raising the ceiling by one log, which resulted in the rooms looking noticeably more spacious. Mr. Hausser and his wife claim that it was a very good decision that they recommend all customers to consider.
Shaping the future one building block at a time
Since it’s available for any model of your choosing, let’s talk about DIY! In this case, the owners built KAYA 3 themselves without any outside help (excluding the electrical connections). Mr. Hausser’s extensive experience came in handy every step of the way. In his words,
One more benefit of self-construction is that making modifications is a lot easier. Here, the customer attached the OSB boards to the top and bottom of the roof rafters, chose not to use the tongue & groove boards, and so on. Of course, this was done by a professional, and it’s not something we recommend for someone with a different level of experience to attempt.
300 m2 of joy
Now that the dust has settled, the owners are very happy with the new home. They highlight the ability to tailor the structure to their needs and wants as the main part of why this has been such a big success. We’ve definitely heard that before, as it’s such a big benefit of prefabricated constructions!
